In this series we interview Aurovilians about their personal experiences with the Matrimandir in Auroville. Today it’s Divya.
Divya, born and brought up in Auroville with the gardens of the Matrimandir being her playground, spent her childhood devising different games with other Aurovilian children. As the once grey concrete orb transformed into the golden globe that Matrimandir is today, Divya grew up alongside it and her relationship with the Matrimandir transformed from being a playground to being a womb she can go back into in her adult life.
